Shiela McKay-Vaughn has the ability to provide outstanding care to your loved one from the first walkthrough all the way to helping them adjust in their new home. Meet The Founder
Shiela McKay-Vaughn has served in many positions over the course of her lifetime. She Is a graduate from the University of Connecticut, having majored in Physical Therapy and Education. While in college, she was an avid participant in the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, as well as an active member of the Mortar Board Society. When Shiela was raising her children in Pittsburgh, PA., she continued pursuing her higher education at Carlow College and received a Business Administration Certificate. As far as her professional experience, she has over 30 years in the field of Sales and Marketing.
When it comes to serving, Shiela was elected as a city commissioner for the city of Daytona Beach. Prior to that, she was appointed member of the City Redevelopment Board. She also received the Platinum Award for service, their highest national award, while serving on the Board of the National League of Cities. She also served for a time as both a state and national member of the National League of Women.
After this period of time, Shiela chose to start a team that would serve the needs of the seniors within the Flagler and Volusia counties through the creation of her own home health care company.
Shiela has always had a big heart for those in need. She served on the HUM board of 10 years, in which she helped to feed many of the homeless in her Volusia County. She also established an ongoing reading program to help homeless children improve their reading, and taught there for 8 years. Shiela also had the honor of serving on the board of the Good Samaritan Society for 5 years.
She served as President of the Women’s Club in Daytona Beach for 2 years. She formed 6 neighborhood associations in Daytona Beach to give citizens a chance to learn and ask questions about their government and its policies.
Shiela is, and always has been an active member of her church. She works to increase overall awareness of various learning disabilities that plague children, even as she advocated for many of the homeless children and families in her community. Shiela loves and enjoys to help those around her, and has dedicated her life to doing just that.
